Transit Services

BC Transit provides public transportation in Osoyoos as part of the South Okanagan–Similkameen Transit System. The service connects Osoyoos with nearby communities and regional centres, making it a practical option for commuting, appointments, and day trips.

Local and regional transit services are funded and coordinated through partnerships between BC Transit and the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS), with a mix of fixed-route and on-request services available.

Local Service in Osoyoos

  • Route 41 – Osoyoos Local provides service within the community.
  • Service is designed to connect riders to key destinations such as shopping areas, services, and transfer points. 

Regional Service from Osoyoos

Osoyoos to Penticton

  • Route 40 – Osoyoos / Penticton connects Osoyoos with Oliver, Okanagan Falls, and Penticton. 
  • This route is the primary link for accessing larger services such as healthcare, education, and shopping in Penticton.
  • Some trips may operate as part of the Health Connections program, which may require booking in advance and prioritizes medical travel.

Connecting to Kelowna

While there is no direct daily bus from Osoyoos to Kelowna, the trip can be completed with a transfer in Penticton:

Step 1: Osoyoos to Penticton

  • Take Route 40 to Penticton.

Step 2: Penticton to Kelowna

  • Transfer to Route 70 – Penticton / Kelowna, which operates multiple trips daily.
