Dogs are welcome on leash in most parks throughout Osoyoos. Please use these spaces responsibly by keeping your dog under control, being considerate of others, and cleaning up after your pet.
Dogs are not permitted on sports fields, in cemeteries, on beaches (unless in designated swim areas), or school property.
Responsibilities of Dog Owners
- Owners must pick up after their dogs.
- Dogs must be on leash and under control at all times.
- Owners are responsible for injuries caused by the dogs under their control.
- Owners must ensure their dogs don't bother other park users.
Off-Leash Dog Parks
West Bench Complex
The West Bench Complex features a fully fenced off-leash dog area where dogs can safely run and socialize. This off-leash area is part of a larger recreation site that also includes sports fields and other amenities, so it’s important for dog owners to respect shared-use spaces and follow posted rules while on site.
Amenities include a fully fenced off-leash dog park with separate areas for small and large dogs, picnic tables, covered gazebos, water on site, and agility equipment.
Seasonal Dog Park at 6901 Main Street
New in 2026, the Boat Trailer Parking Lot will serve as a seasonal dog park. Beginning May 1, one half of the lot will remain open for boat trailer parking, while the other half will be designated as a dog park. The dog park will stay open as long as possible, until additional space is needed to accommodate boat and RV parking. The dog park will open again November 1 for the fall/winter season.
