Do you operate a business that provides services in more than one community? An Inter-Community Business Licence (ICBL) may allow you to work in participating communities throughout the Okanagan-Similkameen and surrounding regions without obtaining a separate business licence in every municipality.
The program is intended for eligible businesses that travel from community to community to provide services to their customers.
What is an Inter-Community Business Licence?
An Inter-Community Business Licence allows an eligible business to provide services in multiple participating municipalities under one additional licence.
It is intended for businesses that:
Perform a service or activity in more than one participating municipality;
Move from client to client to provide their services; and
Do not operate from a permanent business premises in the other participating municipalities.

Do I Still Need a Town of Osoyoos Business Licence?
Yes. An Inter-Community Business Licence is an additional licence and does not replace the regular Business Licence required in the municipality where your business is based.
If your business is based in Osoyoos, you must first hold a valid Town of Osoyoos Business Licence before obtaining an Inter-Community Business Licence.
If your business is based in Osoyoos and you would like to obtain an Inter-Community Business Licence:
Ensure you have a valid Town of Osoyoos Business Licence.
Complete the Inter-Community Business Licence Application.
Submit the completed application to Planning and Development Services.
Pay the applicable licence fee.
Once approved, keep your licences available while conducting business.
If your business is based in another participating municipality, you generally obtain your Inter-Community Business Licence through the municipality where your business is based.
Once properly licenced, eligible businesses can provide services within Osoyoos and the other participating municipalities in accordance with the Inter-Community Business Licence program.
An Inter-Community Business Licence does not replace other permits, approvals, certifications or regulatory requirements that may apply to your business.
Depending on the type of work you perform, additional requirements may apply under Town bylaws or through provincial or other regulatory agencies.
